Mr. Kozak`s Gyros in Grand Haven

Ordered a gyro for my son and a "Greek salad" for myself. Neither are anywhere close to authentic Greek food as I was told it was.

Ridiculously expensive.. it’s not like the portions are worth the price. 5$ for a small hotdog.. at the ball park they cost this much but the size at least is bigger. 5$ for a fry almost 10$ for a burger.. like that’s excessive. It’s all about location for this spot. I was not pleased, based on cost to quality and quantity ratio. Not going back.

Bar none, THE best gyros. It is a real small restaurant with only a few stools to sit at the bench and window seating, but GEEZE, talk about some remarkable food. Been coming for 15 years. Must be real good for me to keep returning.

I came here for the first time and it was so delicious! I ordered the gyro with feta and a side of pita. The meat had a bit of a crisp to it which gave it a really nice texture. The pita was nice and hot with a nice soft/crunch to it. I’ve been coming to Grand Haven my whole life and finally got to try it out after all these years. I can’t wait to comeback and have more! Highly recommend!

Ordered an Italian Beer sandwich, no substitutions/additions/nothing held (just as is). I received meat in a toasted bun. No peppers or veggies of any kind and no aus jus. $9. Never again.

I told Google I was hungry, this was the top suggestion while staying at the State Park nearby. When we walked in, the ambiance was late night diner-esque (in a good way)...friendly service, speedy. Was a little off put by the price of a plate but when the food arrived there is very good value for quantity!! Options for both inside and exterior dining. Bathroom available.

Best Gyro I've ever had, hands down

Went here today but we have been here several times. I love the chicken gyro and my husband loves the regular gyro. Even our 4-year-old loves the meat in the gyro last time we came. If it was a little less expensive, we would come more often, but I understand that you are paying for high quality food.

This is the best place to get Gyros! These are the closest they get to the ones in Europe! They are PACKED with meat and you won't be disappointed! The staff is super friendly and laid back.

I love their food it’s delicious, but everything there is so expensive. My sister and I go there to get only a couple things, and it comes out to be 35 dollars. It’s a great place but in order to get a full meal you’ll be spending a lot of money.

Good things first. Service is quick. Now the bad stuff. Everything is too expensive, and the prices seem random. Gyro for $8, but a small bag with ten tater tots in it is $5.60. It's way too easy to spend $20 here just getting a gyro, fries, and a drink.Many of the menu items are just greasy and bad. The "pizza pocket" is a knockoff brand hot pocket they buy in bulk, microwaved to order.You can't get water here without buying a bottle.

Really good Italian beef sandwich (have to get it dipped). My wife, native to the Chicago area, said the Chicago dog was pretty good for being outside of Chicago. Hot pepper cheese bites were really good!

We ordered the original Gyro with a bag of fries to split 3 ways. Great service and food was delicious.

Salty, overpriced late night drunken post bar food. Try it for lunch and you'll be disappointed.

One the best gyros out there, fries are good too. They usually give you a ton of fries so sharing is good. Grab a gyro and head over to oddside for a beer to wash it down.

An epic gyro. Thinly shaved crispy meat. Feta and sauce was on point. Only negative is the food is overpriced. But it’s a tourist town so I can’t blame them.

Awsome place. The food is great and the people who work there are cool. My favorite thing is there fries. They actually taste like potato and they r always fresh. Some of there food is a little pricey but its quality so i guess that you get what you pay for. Ive hears of people who live close to the other one and they drive all the way to this one because its a little better.

This place is amazing and has been around for years! Really great food and staff! In 1999 I met a family member that was associated with this place in Muskegon who took me here for the first time. Still to this day it is one of my favorites!!

Kozak's has been a family favorite for years and will be for many more years. Their fast and friendly employees are awesome. Also they have a couple tables and chairs to sit outside and people watch while you enjoy your food!

Hands down beat gyros in West Michigan. I've had all of them. Trust me, YUM.

This is a walkup eatery with gyros, fries and the like. Very good food, quick and affordable, there are tables outside to sit and eat, or you can take it to go.

Best Chicago style food that's not in Chicago. This place is the truth. Real Italian Roast Beef sandwiches and Chicago Dogs.Chicago Dogs comes with fries. The only drawback is they are a bit pricey, especially the hot dogs.

I’m not sure I understand why all the hype! Overpriced for the value! Not the chili is horrible on the fries. I asked for more sauce on my gyro as there wasn’t much to begin with. Then they wanted to charge me .70 something cents after I already spent 40$. The young kid gave me attitude after I showed him my sandwich! Done, not a fan. By far not worth it!

Stopped in during the Coast Guard Festival with my family. The gyros were amazing! To be honest I thought they were little pricey (gyros are $9, no fries) but it was good nonetheless. It didn't hurt that everyone was starving. Would eat there again.

Delicious food. Quick. Open late. Utilized the free public lot half a block south to park. Value for $$, 5/5! Hubs and I split a gyro plate. Paid refills. 👍 Will be back the next time we are in town. I can appreciate the recycled material take out boxes they serve in. Thanks, Mr. Kozak for being eco-friendly. 👌

Every time I am in Grand Haven I have to go to Me Kozaks, traditional gyro, mmmmmm!

The gyro was huge! I ordered more than just the sandwich because I was hungry. I ordered the Chicago dog and the Greek gyro. They are both amazing, but I was looking forward to the gyro more and saved it for last. Unfortunately I was too full almost 1/2 the sandwich after the dog. It was a phenomenal experience!

Love this one and the one in holland. Both are very delicious. Faster service in summer but its definitely worth the wait if there busy.

Gyros are great but a little high priced

Fantastic gyro, burgers, fries & the like in a fun, funky atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. Tasty fresh cut fries (cut quite small, but good portions & yummy). Just try the regular gyro...you may not expect to like it if you think “oh my goodness but it’s lamb!,” but you will! Delicious. Small space, sarcasm on every sign, but it works. ps they gave me a box of chopped lettuce for my meat & onions instead of making a lettuce wrap burger (sans gluten), but whatever. No big deal.

Amazing food! 10/10, reccomend all the time. The little sit in diner style place is clean and hilarious signs and posters all over the walls. You should definitely check it out if you're in the area!

Got the chili cheese fries. They were amazing. The person that waited on me was just the right mix of business and casual. Will be retuning

Recently visited here on the 4th of July, the evening of Grand Haven's major fireworks show that tons of people from all around come to see, so of course every place was expected to be busy. It was very hot inside due to it being a small place, and the fact that people just packed in, and the fact that the grills were constantly cooking up all kinds of delicious food. The employees could have easily and understandably been in bad moods or rude, BUT NOT ONE was. The guys behind the counter were gracious and courteous. Service was quick and great. And the food, so amazing! A great, quick little spot I highly recommend. We had the burgers, hot dogs, and cheese fries. Nothing disappointed.

The cheese fries were awesome, but my husband and I honestly weren’t very impressed with the gyros. We ordered the chicken and feta. Our little girl loved the chicken fries though!

Hands down the best Gyro I've ever eaten. . . every time I'm in town I swing by and grab one. . . truth be told these bad boys are even good cold - the next day while you are waiting to catch a flight back home. MUST have every time I'm here, rain or shine - snow or sand, does not matter. Simply the best. PS. get it with Feta and the hot pepper mix!
